Legendary airbrush artist Edward Reed has been creating pinup art for over 20 years. He designed the Artool FH-10 Pinup Shield in 1997.
He’s written many instructional articles on the subject for Airbrush Action, Art Scene International, Airbrush Magazine and Airbrush Art + Action.
He has created pinup book cover art for publisher SQP and his book, “The Art of Edward Reed Portraits & Pin-Ups,” published by SQP, the leading publisher of pin-up and fantasy art for over 35 years, is now available.
He’s also one of nine featured artists in the book, “How to Airbrush Pin-Ups” by Frank Season and published by ArtKulture/Wolfgang Publications.
Edward began his art career by airbrushing t-shirts in Panama City Beach, Florida, with Mark Rush and Tim Mitchell from 1987 to 1993.
He was an instructor of drawing and airbrush technique at a community college for four years and was the editorial assistant/contributing editor for Airbrush Art + Action from 1998 to 2003. Currently, he’s an editorial advisor/contributing editor for Art Scene International magazine.
Edward lives in South Carolina near the Atlantic Ocean with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
