He was also featured on season two of the SyFy channel’s reality competition show, FACE OFF where he competed in the areas of designing, developing, sculpting, and applying special effects makeup for film and television.

“When I was 18 my dad was cleaning out his attic and found an airbrush that he had from the 80’s. I set it up and started practicing. I learned from the beginning that an artist tools are very important. My 1st Iwata was given to me by my mentor. It was pieces and parts (of various Eclipse Airbrushes) that he had put together and aptly named Frankenstein. It was so much better than what I had been using and I was now able to get fine lines and the trigger felt very sensitive. When I had funds I purchased a second Eclipse. I thought Frankenstein was great but this bad boy was so smooth and gave me super fine lines. I felt like I could paint anything”!
Nix’s Equipment Recommendations:
“I recommend the Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS as its a well-rounded tool for any artist and I like the Smart Jet Pro Compressor. It’s strong enough to handle bigger jobs but light weight enough to be portable”.
“If you want the Ferrari of airbrushes, The Micron CM-C is it. This tool will make any artist look like a bad ass, with is touch sensitive trigger and super-tight fine-line capabilities. Well worth the investment”.
“I use the pistol-grip filter to keeping moisture out of my airbrush and quick disconnect sets with a multi-gun set up. And since there is nothing worse than watching an airbrush fall off of your table, a good airbrush holder is a must for me”.
